Does renting storage units require rental protection?
Yes, we do require rental protection when renting a storage unit. You can either provide proof of your own protection plan as you are checking out, or you can purchase one of our select protection plans. Our storage facilities offer several options of protection plans, so be sure to pick the correct plan for your particular needs. Ask one of our storage experts which plan you might want to consider.
Are locks provided/sold on site?
Yes, our storage facilities sell a wide selection of storage supplies – including locks – on premise. In addition to locks, we supply boxes, protective furniture covers, packing tape, box cutters and more!
How do I pay my bill online?
At the top of our website, you will see a button that says “Pay Bill.” From there, login to your account, and select the storage unit you wish to pay the bill for. You can also choose to prepay for your upcoming month’s bill.
How do I reach someone after hours?
Call the office number of the specific Mr. Storage facility you wish to contact. Or, call our office number at 352-371-0852 and press 1 to speak with a live representative. There is also a chat button on the website that can support you.
Can I rent short-term?
Yes, our storage facilities currently offer convenient month-to-month rental agreements. You can choose to rent for a month, a few months, or find your long-term storage solution Mr. Storage in Ohio.
What discounts do you offer?
Mr. Storage in Ohio offers its customers an array of discounts. Customers ages 65+ can receive our Senior Discount of 5% off monthly. Active duty military members can receive 10% off monthly. Thank you for your service! Additionally, when you refer a friend, you and your friend both receive $50 off your next storage rental. Do you have movers?
No, our storage facilities do not offer movers. However, we list our Neighborhood Friends at the bottom of each storage facility’s rental page, so our tenants can find local assistance with trusted moving businesses. Search through the Neighborhood Friends of our storage facilities near you to find movers.
Do you have truck rentals?
No, Mr. Storage in Ohio does not currently offer moving trucks for rental at any of our facilities. Still, you can check our Neighborhood Friends board for a list of local recommended vendors.
Do you have storage auctions?
Yes, our storage facilities currently hold storage auctions. Auctions of storage units occur after fulfilling the state lien law procedure of someone who has not made a payment on their storage unit. Storage auctions aren’t our favorite side of the business, but they are part of it. All Mr. Storage storage auctions will be held online at Lockerfox.com. Simply visit the site, and entire the zip code of your desired Mr. Storage facility to check-in on any of our current storage auctions.
Can I live or sleep in a storage unit?
No. Living in a storage unit is prohibited by various local and federal housing laws. Additionally, it is consider an unsafe practice – storage unit doors lock from the outside and do not have running water to support a residence.
What storage unit size do I need?
Short answer – it depends. Depending on the amount of items you are looking to store, how long you are looking to store, and what you are trying to store, different storage unit sizes might serve you better. Use Mr. Storage’s convenient online storage unit calculator to help better determine what size storage unit to rent. Simply input any items you plan on placing in your storage unit, and this handy calculator will provide you with an estimate as to how much storage space you need. Use this estimate as a reference to selecting your correct storage unit size.
When I rent online, can I access my storage unit right away?
Yes. When you rent a storage unit through our contactless storage rentals, you are able to access your storage unit immediately once you receive your confirmation email. The online rental process lets you choose to rent a storage unit and pay for it within minutes. Once the transaction is completed, you can move into your storage unit right away.
Can I access my storage unit at any time?
No; however, all storage facilities provide gated access from 6am – 10pm.
